The circuit through the South Sacred Valley will allow you enjoy the beautiful landscapes and regional agricultural and ranching towns. The tour will visit archaeological sites where you can observe Tipon hydraulics, the pre-Inka buildings of Pikillacta and beautiful art works form the Cusco School in the Temple of Andahuaylillas. In Saylla you can visit a variety of restaurants and sample typical Inka dishes like “Chicharrones” in the district of Saylla and “Cuy” and “Rocoto relleno” in Tipon.
In Tipon, you will visit rooms and gardens that are built on a base of megalithic stone blocks that used to be part a Royal House that Inka Viracocha built as a dwelling for his father, Yahuar Huaca. The site also represents an important agricultural site that contains terraces, canals, aqueducts, stairways with walls constructed form finely cared stones.

You will tour all the main sites of Pikillacta, which were built with adobe and plaster. This LLaqta (city in Quechua) was built by the pre-Inka Wari culture between 700 to 900 CE. It shows the characteristics of a large urban center corresponding to the time of the rise of the Wari Empire with more than a thousand edifices between the squares, storehouses (colcas), courts, homes, temples long narrow streets with buildings up to 4 stories high.
The tour will visit the outstanding catholic temple of Andahuaylillas. Built in the Spanish colonial times it shows designs, architecture and artworks from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Known as the Sistine Chapel of Cusco it is home to golden alters, colored ceilings, and murals and paintings of the Cusquena School style.
Returning to Cusco from Andahuaylillas the tour passes through Saylla, a typical Cuzco town where you can taste typical Peruvian dishes such as Chicharrones (Pork Rinds), Cuy (guinea pig) and Rocoto Relleno (stuffed Peppers)
